Day 1: Arrival in Lusaka & Transfer to Mfuwe Lodge
• Welcome to Zambia: Upon arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, you’ll be warmly welcomed and assisted by a host who will guide you to your connecting flight.
• Scheduled Flight to Mfuwe: From Lusaka, enjoy a scenic flight to Mfuwe, gateway to the wildlife-rich South Luangwa National Park.
• Arrival at Mfuwe Lodge: Upon landing, you’ll be transferred to Mfuwe Lodge, a charming retreat nestled in the heart of South Luangwa National Park. Famous for its elephants wandering through the reception area in season, Mfuwe Lodge offers an unforgettable safari setting.
• Afternoon Game Drive: After settling into your room, head out for an afternoon game drive through South Luangwa’s wilderness. With experienced guides, spot some of Zambia’s renowned wildlife, including leopards, elephants, and a variety of birdlife as the sun sets over the Luangwa River.
• Dinner Under the Stars: Back at the lodge, enjoy a delicious dinner by lantern light, swapping stories of the day’s sightings with fellow travelers.


Day 2: Safari Adventures at Mfuwe Lodge
• Early Morning Game Drive: Rise early for a game drive in the cool, quiet morning hours when wildlife is at its most active. With luck, you’ll spot lions on a morning hunt, and you’re likely to encounter other iconic species like buffalo, giraffes, and hippos in their natural habitats.
• Brunch & Relaxation: Return to the lodge for a hearty brunch, and take some time to relax by the pool or enjoy the views over the oxbow lagoon. The lodge itself is a hotspot for wildlife, so you might see animals wandering close by.
• Evening Safari & Sundowners: In the afternoon, head out for another game drive. Your guide will select a perfect sundowner spot, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink with breath-taking views of the sunset over the Luangwa River, before transitioning into a night drive to spot nocturnal species like civets, hyenas, and maybe even a leopard on the prowl.

Day 3: Transfer from Mfuwe Lodge to Chindeni Bushcamp
• Morning Safari or Leisure Time: Start the day with a final morning game drive or take some time to enjoy the lodge facilities, soaking in your last moments at Mfuwe Lodge.
• Road Transfer to Chindeni Bushcamp: After brunch, transfer to Chindeni Bushcamp, a beautiful camp set along a peaceful oxbow lagoon, with picturesque views of the Chindeni Hills. Your luxurious tent offers elevated decks and plenty of space to relax and watch wildlife come to drink by the water.
• Afternoon at Leisure & Sundown Safari: After settling in, enjoy a relaxing afternoon with tea on the deck, watching the parade of wildlife that frequents the lagoon. Later, venture out on an evening game drive, with ample chances to spot predators as they begin their nighttime activities.
• Dinner at Camp: Relish a sumptuous dinner under the stars, savoring a menu inspired by local and international flavors, and listening to the sounds of the African night.

Day 4: Wildlife Walks & Drives at Chindeni Bushcamp
• Morning Safari: Join either a guided walking safari, or enjoy a scenic game drive. The choice is up to you!
• Lunch & Rest at Chindeni: Back at camp, enjoy a leisurely lunch and spend some time on the deck or relaxing in your tent, perhaps spotting elephants, antelope, or hippos in the nearby waters.
• Evening Game Drive: Venture out for an afternoon game drive with an expert guide, who will take you to the best locations for wildlife viewing and a sundowner overlooking the stunning Luangwa Valley.

Day 5: Transfer to Kapamba Bushcamp
• Morning Game Drive or Walking Safari: Savor a final morning safari at Chindeni, either by vehicle or on foot, to capture last sightings of the area’s incredible wildlife.
• Transfer to Kapamba Bushcamp: After brunch, a scenic road transfer will bring you to Kapamba Bushcamp, situated on the banks of the Kapamba River. This intimate camp offers stunning views and an authentic connection to the landscape, complete with open-fronted chalets and river views.
• Afternoon Relaxation & Sundown Safari: Settle into your chalet, enjoying some downtime to watch wildlife from your deck. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive, ending with a sunset by the river as your guide shares insights on local conservation and ecology.
